We are an Indiana Ferret Rescue. We only deal with Ferrets.

Some Do's & Don'ts to help your ferrets:

  • Keep ferret vaccines current annyally.
  • Keep you ferret's bowls and water bottles clean.
  • Bundle electric wires, keep them off the floor and spray
them with something that tastes terrible such as Bitter Apple.
  • Get rid of your recliners (or at least keep the ferret out of
    the room with the recliner.)
  • Keep your ferret FLEA FREE.
  • Keep your ferret out of the garage - too many unkown things to ingest.
  • Check dryer hose for holes or breaks - repair or replace if necessary
  • Keep all medications locked up and out of ferret's reach.
  • Keep ferret's ears clean.
  • Keep ferret's claws trimmed.
  • Keep fireplace doors closed (and sealed if possible).
  • Don't EVER leave candles burning.
  • Check washer, dryer, and dishwashers before loading - These are fun
places for ferrets to hide or play.
  • Check clothing before loading into washer. Ferrets love to hide in
    sleeves, pants legs, pockets, etc.
  • Supervise play with other pets and children.
  • Check bathwater temperatures before putting ferret in water
(their body temp is 101.5 normally)
  • Keep your shoes, shoe insoles, keys, checkbook, pencil erasers, etc.
off the floor. Your ferrets will see these as great things to steal and stash.
  • AVOID LATEX TOYS!
  • React Quickly if your ferret appears to be sick or in trouble.
  • REMEMBER rough play can result in a bite.
